Welcome to the website of the International Mineral Processing Council. The Council is an elected body and is responsible for matters such as deciding on the venue and date of International Mineral Processing Congresses, establishing Commissions in areas of interest to the global minerals processing community, making awards to distinguished mineral processors, etc.
At this time the Council wishes to congratulate our Australian colleagues on the highly successful organization of the Silver Jubilee Congress in Brisbane in September 2010. We also congratulate Wang Dianzuo and Alban Lynch, joint recipients at the XXV IMPC Lifetime Achievement Award and Jacques Astier, the recipient of the Distinguished Service Award. The XXVI IMPC will take place in New Delhi from 24 – 28 September, 2012 and we are sure that this will be another memorable Congress. At its meeting in Brisbane during the XXV IMPC, the Council decided to award the XXVII IMPC in 2014 to Chile (Santiago) and the XXVIII IMPC in 2016 to Canada (Quebec City).
The Council extends a cordial invitation for proposals to host the XXIX IMPC in 2018 and also for nominations for the Lifetime Achievement Award to be made at the time of the XXVI IMPC in New Delhi. Details on how these proposals are made can be found in the Constitution of the IMPC elsewhere on this website.
